30% OF YOUR SEMESTER GRADE

 

One blog entry is due by 12 a.m. each Tuesday or Thursday. These 200-400 word short writings will respond to assigned readings and in-class discussions. Along with your blog entry, you must also comment upon at least two entries of your peers (no less than 20 words). Each blog entry and set of comments is worth one point towards your grade. Collectively, these blogs/comments will add up to 15% of your semester grade.

 

One quiz is due by 12 a.m. each Tuesday or Thursday. These quizzes will cover course readings, lectures and discussions. Collectively, they will add up to 15% of your semester grade. 

 

Blogs and quizzes will be available on Blackboard up until their due date, at which time they will become inaccessible. No late blogs or quizzes will be accepted. 

 

Please note: Depending upon the tasks at hand, there may be weeks where you are required to write one longer response. In these instances, the one response will be worth two points and there will not be a quiz. Similarly, some weeks you may be asked to write two responses instead of one response and one quiz. You will never have two quizzes in the same week.
