This course requires students to participate in class meetings through writing workshops and in-class discussions (10 points). Outside of class, students must complete weekly blog entries and quizzes through Blackboard (30 points). Finally, the majority of your course grade will come from three formal projects and a final portfolio (45 points). This course is graded by the point system, not by percentages. Blackboard's gradebook may give you a percentage grade average for our class, but this is always incorrect. Do not trust Blackboard's grade average. Instead, if you would like to know your grade at any point throughout the semester, simply add up the number of points you have earned and divide this by the number of points available.

Course Requirements

Blogs & Quizzes (30 pt.)

One blog post is due each week. These 200-400 word short writings will respond to assigned readings and in-class discussions. Along with your own blog post, you will also respond to two of your peers' writings (in no less than 20 words).

One quiz is due each week. These quizzes will test your reading of key course materials and comprehension of class lectures.
